Flowers and Weeds

Good morning, dear friends. I have been away for awhile. My mother was very ill and she passed away on Dec. 1, 2010. We had a beautiful service for her on Monday. Her life was celebrated. She's resting now in the arms of Jesus.

I am back to getting my book ready for publishing. This is an excerpt from Flowers and Weeds:

"You are such a flower with a sweet, wonderful fragrance! I bet that's how people feel when they see you in the workplace," my friend exuberantly proclaimed. While I appreciated her sincere compliment, I cringed on the inside knowing this was not always true."

Stormy Weather

We often don't have the luxury of an advance warning when the storms of life blow int. Such was the case when I started my new job. New beginnings are often pleasant, and I had no reason to expect anything else. A storm of life blew in without warning, of if there were any warnings signs I missed them completely.

My Book

Hi. My book does not have a release date yet; but, I want to give you a few glimpses of what to expect. The following blog entries will be excerpts from the upcoming book to give you a taste of what to expect.

Angels in the Workplace

I'm going through a difficult time in my life outside of work. God is sending me angels in the workplace. The support is overwhelming. My care team (you know who you are) is so caring and supportive. And the prayer team is amazing. God is good. Thank you to all those offering support and prayers.

Work is Like a Jigsaw Puzzle

Each and every piece fits into the bigger picture. Sometimes it takes awhile until we see how a piece fits, but in the end it does. God is creating a bigger picture through each job in my life. What is my picture starting to look like? What is your picture starting to reveal?

Circle of Friends

I have a circle of friends that can not be replaced. They are loving, kind, encouraging, supportive, praying friends. We met last week. The relationships are strong. It's a group who know each other well. Whenever we are together it is a place to be yourself, share struggles, and celebrate the victories. The origin of the circle of friends is the workplace. I've been involved in many circle of friends that have started in the workplace, but the friendships continue to get deeper, richer, and more rewarding.
