Work and scurry can cause worry and discontentment. Run,
run, run . . . Deadlines, objectives,
meetings, and projects fill my day. The phone rings and the e-mails mount
without ceasing. I try to keep up. I work faster. I work harder. I work longer.
Then one
day I wake up with an ache in my soul that at first I’m not able to identify.
All of a sudden I just feel like something is missing. I feel empty. I recently
dubbed this state of affairs as soul ache.
As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God? Psalm 42: 1-3
so my soul pants for you, my God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God? Psalm 42: 1-3
